Languages
Quazzar OS speaks four languages: English, Русский, Español and Français. The whole interface, error messages, notifications and Molly’s replies follow the language you pick.
Switch language
- Open Settings → Appearance.
- In the Language card, choose English, Русский, Español or Français.
The interface switches instantly, with no reload. The choice is saved to your profile, so it follows you to every browser and device you sign in from.
Before you have chosen anything, Quazzar OS uses your browser’s language if it is one of the four, and English otherwise. The sign-in and first-run setup screens use the browser language too.
Dates, times, numbers and file sizes are also formatted for your language (for example 29 sept. 2026 in French, 29 сент. 2026 г. in Russian).
What is translated
- Menus, the dock, the command palette (
Ctrl/⌘+K), Settings, Launchpad, Drive, Orbit apps, Family, Billing and every other screen. - Error messages from the server. A failed action explains what went wrong in your language.
- Notifications and alerts, including the ones Molly sends proactively.
- The What’s New tour that introduces each release.
- The terminal installer (see below).
The command palette still finds things by their English name, so containers works in every language, next to the translated name.
Not translated
Product names stay as they are: Quazzar, Quazzar OS, Molly, Orbit, Orbit Pro, Launchpad, Drive, Control Center and Constellation. Technical terms such as Docker, S3, VPN, WireGuard, SSL, DNS, API, MCP, SSO and Plex are also kept. Text you write yourself (notes, file names, tickets) and the output of the apps you run are never translated.
Molly replies in your language
Molly answers in the language you selected in Settings → Appearance. Slash commands such as /remember and /recall stay the same in every language.
Notifications that Molly raises on her own (for example a disk filling up or a service down) are written in the node admin’s language. The same alert is sent at most once a day until the situation changes.
Installer language
install.sh and sudo quazzar setup pick their language from the standard environment variables, in this order: LC_ALL, LC_MESSAGES, LANG. English, Russian, Spanish and French are supported; anything else falls back to English.
LANG=es_ES.UTF-8 sudo -E quazzar setup # Spanish
LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8 sudo -E quazzar setup # FrenchSee the CLI reference.

Spotted a wrong or awkward phrase? Tell your node administrator, who can pass it on to Quazzar, and include the screen it is on, the language, and what it should say instead. A screenshot helps. Corrections ship in the next release.
